In a Facebook post, Smith declared his victory, writing, “Citizens of Earle, Arkansas, it's official!! I've recently been elected as the mayor of Earle, Arkansas. It's time to transform Earle, Arkansas into a better chapter. I want to express my gratitude to all of my supporters for helping to increase voter turnout. I sincerely appreciate all of you.
Currently, Jaylen Smith will serve as the mayor of Earle, which has 1,800 citizens. Smith lives with his parents, who are overjoyed. On Wednesday, he told The Washington Post, “My mom can't stop crying.”
