Australian cinematographer Jeff Darling died at age 60. He was one of the world’s most successful and sought-after commercial directors, Jeffery Darling immerses the viewer with intimate and poetic visual stories.

His work on The Crossing made him attain the Australian Film Institute’s best achievement in cinematography award in 1990 and made him the youngest to receive that award. His movie, Young Einstein was nominated for the same category, in 1998.

He has worked on several movies but his recent is a criminal movie about a serial killer with the title ‘He went that way. Jeff has also shot and directed a lot of commercials, and also directed the music videos for ‘Not the Girl You Think You Are’

According to local media reports, he died in Sydney at the North Palms beach while he was surfing. He was rescued from the ocean unconscious by lifeguards and all efforts to bring him back to life were in vain.
