Jennifer Hudson Joins The EGOT Club After Winning Tony Award

Famous American singer and actress, Jennifer Hudson has finally gotten her seat in the EGOT club after winning her Tony Award for writing and producing ‘A Strange Loop’ with Michael R. Jackson.


The 40-year-old is the latest star to join the club of people who have won the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards after her win on Sunday, June 12, 2022.


Jennifer took one of the Broadway honors for producing A Strange Loop which won best musical at the awards making her #17 to have won in all four of the main showbiz awards in America as well as the second black woman to achieve this feat behind Whoopi Goldberg.

Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar in the year 2006 for the film Dreamgirls. She would then go on to win two Grammys and a Daytime Emmy last year for being the executive producer of fan-favorite, Baba Yaga.


Jennifer was part of a list of 35 producers who worked on A Strange Loop with the likes of RuPaul and Don Cheadle.
