Judi Dench, also referred to as Dame Judith Olivia Dench, was born in England on December 9, 1934.

She fell in love with acting at a young age and has continued to work hard throughout her career to move up the ranks and become one of the most in-demand actors.

In September 1957, Dench appeared on stage for the first time as Ophelia in Hamlet with the Old Vic Company at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool.

Working for the National Theatre Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company, she established herself as one of the most notable British theatre artists.

Dench went on to play roles in several of Shakespeare’s plays, including Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, to name a couple.
