He weighs 58-stone and was part of the Channel 5 documentary 70 Stone and Almost Dead, which featured him dropping 25 stone which will qualify him for a gastric band operation in 2012.

Keith Martin, being the world’s fattest man was bound to his be and couldn’t even roll over by himself. He was often visited by nurses who take care of his bed sours and 7 carers a day on a shift. The government of the UK used to spend £50,000 on Keith Martin every year, taking care of his food and hospital bills.

According to Keith Martin, he was of a healthy weight until he lost his mother, Alma at the age of 16. The death of his mother caused him to live in frustration and his only relief was to eat much food. Keith Martin began to carelessly eat and drink which caused him to balloon from 12 stone to his current mind-blowing size and weight.

Keith Martin did not suffer or die from stroke. However, his death occurred on 5 December 2015. Keith Martin suffered from pneumonia due to his weight loss battle. His death came a few days after he had his weight loss surgery.
