Kelly Khumalo and her mom have made peace

The South African singer and her mom Ntombi Khumalo have made peace with their relationship in season three of her reality show.

The singer explained that she and her mom are having the best time of their life as compared to the last time around.

“Where am I relationship-wise with my mother? I would like to think we are in a better place than the last time we were together,” she replied. We chat more, laugh more, love each other more and there is less fuss.” she went on. Ntombi also reveals that a lot has changed since the last time around. She went on to say she is more at peace than she was previously.

“A lot has changed since the last time we were together. I am more grateful and happy than I have ever been,” said Ntombi. Last season Kelly conveyed that she thought her mom failed as a mom. The singer and her mom have had a distasteful relationship, in the first season, her mom suddenly left for KwaZulu-Natal without informing her daughter. So, in season two their relationship was put to a test once again.

Kelly’s precursory issue with her mom was that she did not answer questions about her biological father. According to the singer she also felt as though her mom chooses her sister Zandi’s side over hers. In addition to that, the Empini hitmaker has been disappointed by her mom’s lack of communication and unwillingness to resolve their differences.
