Kirstie Louise Alley was an American actress who made her breakthrough in portraying Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom Cheers (1987–1993).

Alley received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991 for her role in the sitcom before going on to earn additional Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for portraying the lead in the sitcom Veronica’s Closet from 1997 to 2000.

Kirstie Alley, as she is commonly known, was brought forth into the world on January 12, 1951, but died on December 5, 2022, at the age of 71.

Alley who hailed from Wichita, Kansas, United States died in Tampa, Florida, United States.

The actress was educated at Wichita Southeast High School, graduating in 1969, and at Kansas State University, dropping out after her sophomore year.
