The husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, has been arrested by the FCT Police Command in connection with the death of her wife.
Mr. Nwachukwu Peter was arrested by the Lugbe Police Division on April 10, after the brother of the late singer reported a case of suspected homicide to the Police.
This comes after several relatives and friends of the late minister alleged that the singer had been subjected to years of torture by her husband.
Confirming the report of the arrest, the spokesperson of the FCT police command, DP Joseph Adeh revealed that the suspect is now in police custody as investigations continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding her death.
Though earlier reports suggested that, Osinachi died of throat cancer, some unconfirmed reports have claimed that the singer found herself struggling for her dear life after her husband kicked her in the chest during one of his usual attacks.
