The South African Gospel Music fraternity has been left in sadness as veteran South African gospel singer, Deborah Fraser has ed away at the age of 56.
Deborah Fraser sparked rumors of ill health and raked in concerns from fans and supporters after a video of her performing in a wheelchair surfaced online. A few days later, the legendary singer revealed that she mysteriously lost all her strength and ability to walk after vomiting uncontrollably for some time.
“It all began when I started vomiting uncontrollably and I lost my strength. Ever since then, I haven’t been able to walk”, she said.
In a media statement released on her official Facebook page, it was revealed that the award-winning singer had died a little after midday in front of some friends and family members.
“It is with deep sadness to inform you of the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, and Gospel musician, Dr. Deborah Fraser following a short Illness. She passed on today (Sunday 15.05.2022) after midday, in the presence of her family and friends.”
