Leopold Chenal, born on October 26, 2000, is an American football linebacker who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League (NFL). His college football career began at Wisconsin, where he joined the Badgers as an early enrollee.

During his freshman season, Chenal played in 11 games, contributing 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack.

In his sophomore year, he earned honourable mention All-Big Ten Conference honours, concluding the season with 46 tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception in seven games amid Wisconsin’s COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.

As a junior, Chenal achieved recognition as the Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year and earned first-team All-Big Ten honours.

In the 2022 NFL Draft, Leopold Chenal was selected in the third round (103rd overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs.

He made his NFL debut in the Chiefs’ regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals and earned his first start in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Chenal recorded his initial professional sack in Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
