Yet again it’s generally a party when Lizzo is in front of an audience and she demonstrated that on Sunday night. The artist carried the house down with a zapping execution of her raving success, “About Damn Time.”

The BET Awards exhibitions got major areas of strength for going Lizzo as the initial demonstration. Starting her set with a legendary woodwind solo, Lizzo was sparkling in gold, wearing a matching disco-ball-propelled outfit.

The 33-year-old artist dropped the single in April and, during an appearance on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe, Lizzo blessed her new single the “tune of the late spring.”

The vocalist said the melody from her impending fourth studio collection, Special, can act as the ideal setting for any festival.

“‘About Damn Time’ can lead into such countless discussions,” she told Lowe. “It’s about damn time I feel much improved, it’s about damn time we escape this pandemic.

It’s about damn time we get the principal Black female Supreme Court Justice. There are such countless things.

It’s about damn time we popped the champagne. It’s about damn time the tequila arrived.”

The vocalist as of late answered kickback that a verse of her new delivery “GRRRLs” that audience members noted was an “ableist slur” by changing the verse, yet confirming that she “never” needs to advance disparaging language in her music.

“It’s been drawn out into the open that there is a destructive word in my tune ‘GRRRLS.’ Let me make one thing understood: I never need to advance slanderous language.

As a fat person of color in America, I’ve had frightful words utilized against me so I comprehend the power words can have (whether deliberately or for my situation, unintentionally.),” the “Great as Hell” vocalist expressed prior to uncovering that another rendition of “GRRRLS” has been delivered.

She proceeded, “I’m pleased to say there’s another rendition of ‘GRRRLS’ with a verse change. This is a consequence of me tuning in and making a move.

As a compelling craftsman, I’m committed to being a piece of the change I’ve been holding on to find on the planet. Xoxo, Lizzo.”

Her brief reaction was additional verification of how mindful the vocalist has forever been with her fans and her BET Awards execution is confirmation that Lizzo is that “grrrl!”
