Mackenzie Shirilla, 19, was sentenced to two concurrent 15-year-to-life terms in an Ohio courtroom on Monday, August 21, 2023, for her role in the killings of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, 20, and another passenger, Davion Flanagan, 19, in July of the previous year.

Shirilla, then 17, was driving her Toyota Camry into a brick building without applying the brakes at the time of the incident.

Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. According to the New York Post, the inquiry also found that all three individuals had been using marijuana, and the cops discovered magic mushrooms in their hands. Shirilla, who did not testify throughout the trial, read a statement in court before being sentenced.
