Mandla Maphumulo, better known by his stage name Mampintsha, was born in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where he also began his musical career.

He rose to prominence as a member of the kwaito group Big Nuz, which burst onto the music scene in 2002 and thrilled South Africans with several hit singles and the chart-topping album “For The Fans.” Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, Mzi “Danger” Tshomela, and the late Sbusiso “R Mashesha” Khoma make up the group.

After the group disbanded, Mampintsha went on to have a successful solo career. By the way, it has been reported that the band is reuniting. Mampintsha was 40 years old when he died and was a well-known musician and producer. On December 22, Afrotainment issued a statement stating that the Big Nuz member was receiving medical treatment at the Durdoc Hospital in Durban. Mampintsha’s wife, Babes Wodumo, real name Bongekile Simelane, confirmed his untimely death.
