On Thursday, a memorial ceremony will be conducted at Bishop Vusi Dube’s eThekwini Community Church in the Durban Central Business District in honor of the late award-winning artist Mandla Maphumulo, also known as Mampintsha.

Following a stroke, Mampintsha passed away last weekend in a hospital in Durban.

Thembinkosi Maphumulo, the father of the late musician Mampintsha, had to hold back tears several times as he described the final conversation he had with his son to the assembled mourners on Thursday during his son’s burial service.

Fans and friends from the music industry attended Mampintsha’s memorial ceremony, which began shortly before noon at the eThekwini Community Church in Durban.

Born Mandla Maphumulo, Mampintsha was one of the final members of the acclaimed kwaito band Big Nuz. Babes Wodumo served as his wife (real name Bongekile Simelane). Fans from different geographical locations attended the memorial service. He was indeed loved by many.
