Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing And Burying His Friend In Enugu (Photo)

Agbo Onuabuchi, 24, a resident of Ogidi in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State but a native of Ebonyi State, has been charged with murder and remanded in the Enugu Custodial Center for allegedly killing and burying his male friend, Peter Ukekwe, 44, in a shallow grave at the Amori community in the Nkanu West Local Government Area on April 1.

The suspect and the deceased had traveled to the given place on the mentioned day from Ogidi, Anambra State, to see one Onyeka Edeh, a male local physician. The pair, however, departed the host’s home throughout the night for an unspecified location.

The following morning, when the suspect was apprehended at Obe community in the same LGA by Police Operatives serving in Nkanu West Division of Enugu State Command, with the help of locals, as he attempted to flee back to Ogidi, Anambra State, they discovered them.

The victim was strangled to death and then buried in a shallow grave in the bush, where his remains were exhumed and placed in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy, according to the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident.
