Famous Nigerian singer, Orezi, born Esegine Allen has revealed that many artists find it extremely difficult to handle fame due to its intoxicating nature.

According to the ‘Rihanna’ hitmaker, it takes a lot of maturities to be able to handle the fame that comes with being a musician — something which most of the new arts as well as the old artists lack.

“It is not only young artists that cannot handle fame. It happens to a lot of old artists as well. It takes a lot of maturities to handle fame because it is very intoxicating.”

Talking about his most embarrassing moment, Orezi revealed that he once lost his voice and sounded terrible while performing at a concert after the background music went off.

“My most embarrassing moment on stage was one of Olamide’s concerts at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

I was performing the song, Shuperu, and when I got to the high-pitched part, the sound went off and I was left alone with my vocals.

I lost my voice and I sounded really terrible. I got off stage feeling really bad but luckily for me, it seemed it was only a few people that noticed.”
