Michael Burton is an American football player for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL), born on February 1, 1992 in Long Valley, New Jersey, U.S.

Burton was educated at West Morris Central High School in Washington Township, New Jersey. Burton played high school football and committed to playing college football at Rutgers University from 2011 to 2014.

Burton made 10 carries for 44 rushing yards to go alongside 10 receptions for 68 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown, in the 2011 season. Burton made three receptions for 34 receiving yards in four games, in the 2012 season for the 2013 season, he made 19 receptions for 149 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. For his final collegiate season in 2014, he had 15 receptions for 150 receiving yards.

Prior to signing with the Kansas City Chiefs, he signed with Detroit Lions from 2015 to 2016, Chicago Bears from 2017 to 2018, New Orleans Saints in 2019, Washington Redskins in 2019 and the New Orleans Saints in 2020.
