Shatta Wale has harshly blasted radio broadcasters and entertainment experts who critique musicians.
He contends that many radio announcers should put more of an emphasis on the good things in life because they are not really competent to evaluate others.
He went live on Instagram to offer his thoughts on the music industry. He claimed that most radio DJs and individuals in the entertainment industry do not understand money well enough to criticize him.
He said, “A lot of the hosts you see are pretending to be rich, but behind the scenes, things are tough for them. They’re struggling. They shouldn’t think they can tell me how to live my life. I have a lot of money… They don’t have good plans for Ghana’s music industry. That’s why they sit on TV and radio and make fools of themselves.”
These remarks follow a recent disagreement with Ola Michael, an authority on entertainment.
Even though a former French ambassador proposed that some prominent artists in Ghana should obtain diplomatic passports, Ola Michael had stated that Shatta Wale shouldn’t do so. The goal was to support the nation’s cultural, artistic, and entertainment sectors.
