Naomi Judd was an American singer. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on January 11, 1946 to mother, Pauline Judd who was a cook and father, Charles Glen Judd who died in the year 1984 at the age of 59.

Jud is known as the mother of Wyonna Judd and Ashley Judd. Together with Wyonna, Naomi Judd formed the country music duo, The Judds. They were very famous, made successes and scored about 20 top 10 hits. The mother-daughter group was a receiver of five Grammy Awards.

The Country Music Hall of Famer was married first to Michael Ciminella, a marketing consultant and they had one daughter called Ashley Judd, a popular American actress.

Larry Strickland, a singer was her husband from 1989 until her death.

Naomi Judd’s cause of death according to her two daughters’ announcement was due to mental illness disease. She died on April 30, 2022 at the age of 76 years.

She was 76. The daughters announced her death on Saturday in a statement provided to The Associated Press. “Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness,” the statement said.
