Smith was elected mayor of Earle, Arkansas, after defeating his opponent, Nemi Matthews Sr., with a total vote of 218 to 139 in a runoff election.
Smith confirmed his victory on Facebook and thanked those who supported him with their votes.
He wrote, “It's official, Earle, Arkansas!!” I'm your newly elected Mayor of Earle, Arkansas… ‘It's Time to Build a Better Chapter of Earle, Arkansas.' I'd like to thank all of my supporters for working hard to get people to the polls. I am truly grateful to each and every one of you.”
