Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems, a Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, has revealed that she began her career as a producer.

Nobody wanted to produce songs for her when she was still new, so she decided to learn music production.

Tems stated during an interview on Jazzys World TV that she was her own motivation and that she told herself that she could do it herself.

The composer claimed that having the ability to customize her sound as she wanted was made possible by her experience as a producer.

The Try Me singer went on to exhort everyone to pursue greatness with tenacity rather than relax.

“NO ONE WANTED TO PRODUCE FOR ME BACK THEN AND SO I SAID I CAN DO THIS MYSELF, AND IT MADE ME CREATE MY SOUND,” SHE SAID.
