The body of late Nigerian sensational gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu will be laid to rest this weekend in Abia State.
The singer who was allegedly killed by constant physical abuse by her husband who is currently facing charges for her death will be buried in her father’s compound on Saturday, June 25 after a night of worship on Thursday and a night of prayer on Friday.
The ‘Ekwueme’ hitmaker died on Friday, April 8, 2022, after spending two months on life support in a hospital in Abuja at the age of 42 years. Just after her sad demise, scores, including her family, children, friends, and other associates, took to social media to reveal that the singer had suffered abuse in the hands of her husband, Peter Nwachukwu leading to her death.
However, her husband, Peter Nwachukwu in court, said that his wife died as a result of lung cancer adding that he never abused his wife.
“Let me tell the whole world, I have suffered a lot. I have been abandoned. What killed my wife was cancer of the lungs; I didn’t hit my wife. Cancer of the lungs killed my wife, Osinachi Nwachukwu, so I’m suffering for what I do not know…”
