John W. Gray, was born in Cincinnati on June 26, 1973. He was born to Margery Naper, (mother) and Hugh Gray (father). His parents separated when he was the age of four and was catered to by his mother.
He is an author and currently serves as a Senior Pastor of the Relentless Church in Greenville, South California.
He had a scholarship at Wooster College in 1991 and studied music and acting. He furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati and became part of the gospel choir and was the first black staff to have worked in Joel Osteen's church, Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas thus assisting Joel Osteen.
He left his role to take over Pastor Ron's congregation. Pastor Ron's congregation had the name, Hope Carpenter's Redemption Church and was later changed into the Relentless Church by Pastor John Gray. His church has roughly about 22,000 members.
