Matthew Gregory Kuchar, born June 21, 1978, is a professional golfer from the United States who now competes on the PGA Tour and previously on the Nationwide Tour. He has nine PGA Tour victories.
Kuchar briefly found success in the early 2000s before going through a downturn in which he struggled to keep his PGA Tour membership. In 2008, he revitalized himself by building a new, one-plane swing, which resulted in better outcomes. In 2010, Kuchar was the PGA Tour’s leading money winner.
Peter Kuchar: Who Is Matt Kuchar’s Father?
Kuchar was born in Winter Park, Florida, to Peter Kuchar, a life insurance salesman and former college tennis pro, and Meg Kuchar. Peter Kuchar, Matt Kuchar’s father, understands the significance of the US Open on Father’s Day.
That’s because Peter caddied for Matt when he finished 14th as an amateur at Olympic Club in 1998.
A few golfers reprimanded the elder Kuchar for not conducting himself professionally. Matt agrees that his father’s experience caddying for him at the US Open and the Masters is among the highlights of his career.
