Gunston has also worked at Westpac, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Aluminium Smelters of Victoria, Southern Cross Austereo, and the Victorian Government.
He was the Chairman of Sigma Pharmaceuticals, Hotel Property Investments, and Melbourne Stadiums Limited. He also served on the boards of AFL Victoria and the Melbourne Renegades.
