Ray Stevenson, whose full name is given as George Raymond Stevenson, was a highly celebrated Irish actor. Stevenson appeared as Dagonet in the film King Arthur (2004) as well as Titus Pullo in the BBC/HBO television series Rome (2005–2007).

Ray Stevenson again portrayed two Marvel Comics characters: Frank Castle / The Punisher in Punisher: War Zone (2008) as well as The Super Hero Squad Show, and also Volstagg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011–2017).

Ray Stevenson died on May 25, 1964, just three days ahead of his 59th birthday. Stevenson died in the course of filming Cassino in Ischia in Italy. Currently, there is no official report on his cause of death.
