George Raymond Stevenson was an Irish actor born on May 25, 1964 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

The Irish actor became notable for portraying Dagonet in the film King Arthur (2004) and Titus Pullo in the BBC/HBO television series Rome (2005–2007).

His portrayal of two Marvel Comics characters: Frank Castle / The Punisher in Punisher: War Zone (2008) and The Super Hero Squad Show, as well as Volstagg in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011–2017) garnered him acclaim.

Stevenson has starred in several films including Kill the Irishman (2011),
The Three Musketeers (2011), and
RRR (2022).

In television, his roles include Ukrainian mobster Isaak Sirko in the seventh season of Dexter, and Blackbeard in the third and fourth seasons of Black Sails.

Stevenson gave up his breath on May 22, 2023, at the age of 58. His death comes three days before his 59th birthday.

Stevenson breathed his last while filming Cassino in Ischia in Italy.
