In the year 2021, the assembling of real flying cars began in Slovakia and it was one of the best moves ever. It was to be test driven for a time of 35 minutes.
They made a prototype test flying from between international airports in Nitra and Bratislava, Slovakia after which they drove it for a few minutes.
This flying car which is known in short as AirCar during its assembling had a BMW engine embedded in it. It was to be fueled by petrol.
This new AirCar was created by a Professor known as Stefan Klein. According to Professor Stefan Klein, his AirCar flies approximately 1,000km (600 miles), at a height of 8,200ft (2,500m). He further stated that since the car was produced, it has stayed in air for more than 4 hours.
This AirCar accordng to our checks, takes a time frame of 2 minutes 15 seconds to be able to transform from car to aircraft and vice versa.
How Does The Flying Car Look Like?
The flying car when it is to be converted from aircraft to car has the narrow wings of it fold down along the sides of the car.
Professor Stefan Klein during the test drive, managed to drive off the runway at the international airport and back into the town during arrival. Reporters were invited to witness the whole procedure.
Professor Stefan Klein after his test drive in 2021 stated that the entire process was very ‘normal’ and ‘pleasant’ to him. Professor Stefan Klein explained that when he was in air, the AirCar reached a speed of 170km/h.
The AirCar can carry two people with a total weight of 200kg (31 stone). The AirCar needs a runway as it can’t take off and land without having to use the runway.
This massive project being embarked on by Professor Stefan Klein is expected to have a huge cash inflow and market in the near future. It is expected to be a neccesity in no time.
Morgan Stanley, who is the consultant of the company manufacturing the AirCar has predicted that the sector could amass a net worth of $1.5trillion (£1tn) by 2040 per his statistics
Also, the whole project has been termed “part of our future” by Hyundai Motors Europe chief executive Michael Cole in the year 2021.
This project has been tipped to substitute traffic and supplement new means of transport for individuals.
Huge Market For Flying Cars
The investment into the AirCar is said to have cost “less than 2m euros” (£1.7m) in investment since it was started. It was revealed by Klein Vision Company.
This project according to Anton Zajac who doubles as an investor in Klein Vision Company and as well an advisor – will attract a lot of success even if it bags some small sales in the global airline or taxi world.
In his own words, Anton Zajac noted: “There are about 40,000 orders of aircraft in the United States alone . And if we convert 5% of those, to change the aircraft for the flying car – we have a huge market.”
A senior researcher in avionics and aircraft known as Dr Stephen Wright shared his views on the AirCar saying it is “the lovechild of a Bugatti Veyron and a Cesna 172”.
Comparing the fuel consumption of the car to aircraft, Dr Stephen Wright said he thinks the fuel consumption would be very economical.
He stated:
“I have to admit that this looks really cool – but I’ve got a hundred questions about certification. Anyone can make an aeroplane but the trick is making one that flies and flies and flies for the thick end of a million hours, with a person on board, without having an incident. I can’t wait to see the piece of paper that says this is safe to fly and safe to sell.”
This car could be available earlier than expected.
