Rishi Sunak is a British politician. He served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020.
He has been the Chancellor of the Exchequer since 2020. He has been the Conservative Party's Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond (Yorks) since 2015.
He went on to study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford's Lincoln College before earning an MBA from Stanford University as a Fulbright Scholar.
Following graduation, he worked at Goldman Sachs and then as a partner at the hedge fund firms The Children's Investment Fund Management and Theleme Partners.
In the Sunday Times Wealthy List 2022, he was ranked 222nd, with an estimated worth of £730 million making him the first frontline politician to join the rich list.

He met his future wife Akshata Murthy while studying at Stanford.
She happens to be the daughter of N. R. Narayana Murthy, the Indian billionaire businessman who created Infosys.
Together they gave birth to Krishna Sunak and Anoushka Sunak.
Sunak and his children were believed to have moved out of Downing Street to a freshly rebuilt posh West London residence in April 2022.
