Samuel Levinson is an American actor and filmmaker who created the HBO teen drama series Euphoria, an adaptation from the Israeli series of the same name, which continues to air from 2019 till date.
Born on January 8, 1985, Levinson is the son of Academy Award winning director Barry Levinson and
Diana Rhodes, a production designer for TV commercials.
Levinson received his first writing credit as a co-writer for the action comedy film Operation: Endgame in 2010 and made his directorial film debut with the 2011 Another Happy Day which premiered at Sundance Film Festival.
The filmmaker subsequently earned a writing credit on his father’s HBO television film The Wizard of Lies while continuing to write and direct for the feature films Assassination Nation in 2018 as well as Malcolm & Marie in 2021.
Levinson is not just a career person but also a husband. He is married to Ashley Lent Levinson.
