The family has declared the funeral arrangements for gospel singer Sammie Okposo. Remember that the singer passed away on November 25, at the age of 51.
On Tuesday, December 13, a tribute night will be held in Lagos State, followed by a song service on Wednesday. Sammie Okposo's funeral will be held privately on Thursday, December 15, at a later date.
It was previously reported when the Welu Welu crooner's family issued an official statement regarding his untimely death.
However, according to Hector Okposo's official statement, the family is comforted because Sammie is happily singing with the angels in heaven.
“We are comforted because we know he is singing with the angels with Jesus.”
“We kindly request that the family be allowed to mourn peacefully at this time,” the statement continued.
Okposo made headlines earlier this year when he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma, for cheating on her with another woman in America.
The singer expressed regret for the incident, which occurred in 2021, in an apology posted to his Instagram page.
The singer went on to say that the development has caused him to step away from ministerial work until he is “fully restored.”
