She won the César Award for Most Promising Actress for À Nos Amours, the César Award for Best Actress for Vagabond and the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for La Cérémonie.

The actress was born on May 31 1967 in Gannat, France.

Her international quantum leap happened in 1985 when she portrayed the main character in Vagabond (Sans toit ni loi), directed by Agnès Varda, for which she won her second César Award.
