Selena Gomez has become pickier about who she works with and who she dates – – and she owes everything to Steve Martin and Martin Short. ET’s Will Marfuggi talked with Gomez and her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, in front of the show’s season 2 debut, about what they’ve gained from one another and what’s in store this approaching season.
“I think as a general rule, my norms for humor and noble men, and just, experts have been – – the bar’s been lifted high working with these two, in this way, it’s been truly fun, yet I’m currently somewhat particular,” Gomez said of what working with Martin and Short has educated her.
While season 2 sees the generally nosey Charles (Martin) and Oliver (Short) attempting to intrude in Mabel (Gomez’s) affection life, the 29-year-old entertainer told ET, the unbelievable entertainer humorists are excessively defensive of her to set her up with just anybody.
“They’re defensive,” Gomez said.
“We’re extremely defensive of her,” Short concurred.
“You know, a large portion of individuals we know are dead,” Short kidded. “We don’t know anybody under 50, so dislike, ‘Uh, hello, I believe that you should meet Selena,'” Martin joked.
“Assuming you escape that walker, perhaps you can meet Selena,” the Father of the Bride entertainer joked.
Regardless of jokes, Gomez said “she’s fine” without their assistance in that area.
