Simon Cowell Reportedly Sells London Mansion Following Spate Of Home Invasions

According to reports, Simon Cowell has sold his £45 million mansion because of break-ins at the place.

The X Factor mogul, 63, who is claimed to be worth £457 million, has spent much of his life in London but is said to have told pals that he no longer feels comfortable in the city’s center after moving out of his home in Holland Park.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the sale of the home, which he has owned for 16 years, was completed “a few days ago” and that he has already begun a new life in the countryside with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, 45, and their nine-year-old son Eric.

It follows news last month that, despite spending £500,000 on home security, Cowell’s front door lock had been copied and sold by a criminal gang.

In 2015, a thief broke into the London house of the Syco boss while he and his family were fast asleep, taking jewelry and passports.

The head of the record company claimed in a court impact statement that the incident had put him in “constant fear” of another break-in that “may be worse next time.”

In addition, Cowell summoned security in 2012 when a woman armed with a brick entered his home’s restroom.

Regarding the alleged scheme to rob him this year, Cowell added: “I was in total shock. The fact that it is possible for a person to obtain the software code to sell to someone – so they could rob the house my family live in – is disgusting.

“To even consider doing this is dangerous and reckless.

“People who attempt to enter other people’s homes couldn’t care less of the consequences and how people living in these houses could have been affected.”

According to a friend who spoke to The Mail, in addition to the intrusions, Cowell had started to worry about “street gangs” and “general safety” in his neighborhood.
