Stoning A Man To Death Because He’s Gay Is Totally Wrong – Actor Yul Edochie Condemns Punishment

Nollywood actor and movie producer Yul Edochie has condemned the punishment that comes with being gay or homosexual in Nigeria.

One of the detestable acts most African countries frown on is the practice of homosexuality. A lot of African countries have stood against it and have refused to make it a law.

Yul Edochie has taken to his page to condemn the punishment of stoning to death anyone who is gay. According to him, the punishment is wrong.

 

Supporting homosexuals, the actor stated that gays should be accorded respect because they equally have rights as human beings and as citizens. Yul mentioned that he was informed that the new law was passed in one of the towns in Nigeria called Bauchi.

 

“….I heard the judgment was passed in Buchi. How can you kill a human being because he’s gay? It’s wrong. Condemn him if he engages in criminal activities. Condemn him if he’s a rapist. If not leave judgment for God”, part of Yul Edochie’s post read.
