Ted Thompson was a famous former American professional football player and executive. He was born on the 17th of January, 1953 in Atlanta, Texas.
He schooled at Southern Methodist University where he played active college football as a linebacker. In his final year, he was the captain of the team as well as the placekicker.
Ted was an undrafted free agent in the year 1975 but got signed by the Houston Oilers. He became a backup linebacker for the team and was also a special teams player. He played in 146 games of 147 in the season.
Ted went on to become the general manager of the Green Bay Packers from the year 2005 to the year 2017.
