The confirmed report has it that Teddy Balkind died during a game at Brunswick School Lower and Middle school campus in Greenwich on 6 January 2022.
The game was between two private school teams. It came out that Teddy Balkind fell on the ice after colliding with another player. A player who was closer to him couldn’t halt his movement and they clashed together.
Teddy Balkind was then accidentally cut by the skates and he started bleeding profusely. When 911 arrived, Teddy Balkind was rushed to Greenwich Hospital for help but he was declared dead a few hours after the arrival.
St. Luke’s issued a statement on the death of the beloved out of which part read: “Yesterday, we lost a precious young man in a tragic accident. As we worked hard to support our students and families, St. Luke’s School and Brunswick School was shocked. St. Luke’s only focus at the moment is to take care of our devastated community.”
Brunswick School where the tragedy took place also partly added, “Tragedies like this are difficult to deal with and cannot be understood. In the next few days and weeks, we will do our best to help and support our community and People in the community of St. Luke.”
