Outspoken Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist, Reno Omokri has taken to his socials to talk about how Nigerian officeholders are bloating expenditure to steal money from the national coffers.

This comes after Nigerians were hit with shock after it was revealed that the Government had trained some 177 youths in the country on how to repair smartphones costing the country a whopping N5.9 billion.

Thus, the country paid a whopping 33 million Naira per individual trained under the said program.

Taking to his Instagram account, Reno Omokri argued that the cost of the presidential nomination form is partly to be blamed for such occurrences.

He hinted that politicians will continue to embezzle national funds if there are to pay huge sums of money just to be allowed to serve their country.

“These are the types of things that happens when you ask people to pay ₦100 million for Presidential nomination form. The money has to come from somewhere.

“That is why the Buhari regime used ₦33 million to train each individual youth on how to repair smartphones!”
