Actress Thuli Phalongo was reportedly off the Showmax show, The Wife. According to the latest news reaching us, the producers of the show allegedly fired Thuli for her numerous excuses of not showing up for shoots when called.
Thuli who has played exceptionally well on the show was reportedly not committed to her job. However, an insider disclosed that “she gave the production team a hard time. If she was not late for shootings, she would not come at all. This forced producers and writers to make last-minute plans, And that was an inconvenience for them.”
An official letter from Thuli’s team was released to refute the claims leveled against her by the insiders.
However, Stained Glass spokeswoman Nomfundo Zondi confirmed that Thuli’s role as Lerato had bad to be ended.
“Yes, we can confirm that Thuli Phongolo’s character ends in the episodes airing on Thursday, 13 January 2021. This was by mutual agreement, due to schedule clashes,” Nomfundo said.
