Uttara Boakar is a renowned Indian actress who was born in 1944. Boakar has so far appeared in numerous Marathi and Hindi movies and television shows.
In 1986, he made his film debut in the series “Yatra.” She then gained notoriety after the 1987 serial “Tamas” was broadcast. She has appeared with Sumitra Bhave in numerous movies.
Uttara completed her acting studies in 1968 at the National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi, where she studied with Ebrahim Alkazi.
She established herself in the business by playing prominent roles in plays like Mena in Mena Gurjari, the Mother in Girish Karnad's Tughlaq, Padmavati in Mukyhamantri, the nautch girl in Chhote, and many more.
Sandhya Chhaya, a play by Jaywant Dalvi that was adapted from the original by Kusum Kumar and performed in Hindi, was directed by Uttara in 1978.
