VeryDarkMan, a well-known activist, investigated why the Grammy honors excluded all Nigerian nominees for music honors.

Remember that the five Nigerian musicians who garnered Grammy Award nominations in 2024 were Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr. However, none of them received the prize.

In response, VeryDarkMan attacked the Grammy Awards, claiming that they are attempting to prevent Afrobeat from gaining complete control over them.

VeryDarkMan backed up his accusations by saying that the Shakti album “This Moment,” which won the Best Global Music Album award, hasn’t accumulated one million views on YouTube overall.

He added that he didn’t know who Tyla was until yesterday and that the song had been promoted by Ayra Starr, who he thought was the vocalist.

According to VeryDarkMan, numerous Nigerian performers were nominated in an effort to spice up the awards ceremony.
