Sad news about the death of gospel singer and Preacher, Reverend Simon Sibiya has hit South Africans. The Sad news was confirmed by the late Simon Sibiya’s daughter, comfort Sibiya.
Simon Sibiya died at Mapulaneng Hospital in Bushbuckridge on Tuesday 4th January 2022. According to Comfort Sibiya, her father had been sick for a long time but as a pastor, he was strong and could move around to do his normal day-to-day activities.
Simon was a preacher at the Revival Church of Jesus Ministry in Daantjie, outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga, and was known for his Skorokoro soMzalwane hymn.
“He had been sick for a long time but as a pastor, he was strong and could move around. On 2 January, he left home to go to church in Thulamahashe. Later, we received a call that he had been admitted to hospital after being referred by a local clinic.”
Comfort also revealed that the funeral will take place on 8th January 2022 in Daantjie at 7 am. As of now, friends and families are sending their condolences to Simon’s family as they go through this taught time.
“We are really shattered by his death. We believed he was fine but unfortunately, he left us unexpectedly. We sent him to local private doctors twice last week but things suddenly changed and he was referred to hospital,” gospel artist Pastor Dingaan Mahlaule said.
