Kirstie Louise Alley, otherwise known simply in showbiz circles as Kirstie Alley was an American actress and media personality. Born in Wichita, Kansas in the United States of America on January 12th, 1951 to parents Robert and Lillian Alley, Kirstie first appeared on T.V. in 1979 as a game show contestant on the American game show “Match Game”.

After another appearance in a game show called Password Plus in 1980, Kirstie started getting calls to become an actress. Kirstie, who was an interior designer at the time made her film debut in the 1982 rendition of Star Trek.

Kirstie appeared as “Lieutenant Saavik” in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. After a major dispute with regard to how much she was being paid, Kirstie decided not to appear in any more Star Trek movies. In 1987, she was offered the role of “Rebecca Howe” in the then-popular television sitcom “Cheers”.

Kirstie appeared in 147 episodes of Cheers from 1987 to 1993 when the show finally stopped. Kirstie has over the years appeared in various movies, television series, and commercials. Kirstie’s last known appearance was as “Baby Mammoth” in the 2022 edition of the American singing competition known as “The Masked Singer”.

Kirstie Alley’s death was reported by her family on Monday, December 5th, 2022. The cause of death has been determined to be complications of cancer. Kirstie was 71 years old at the time of her demise.
