She was born in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, on November 9, 1988, and became well-known in 2011 after the release of her debut album, “Loliwe”.

Zahara was ill and had liver problems when she was admitted to the hospital.
She passed away in a Johannesburg hospital on December 11, 2023. The cause of death has not yet been officially disclosed.
