We Have Been Scammed – Speedy And Spikiri

Famous Mzansi singers Speedy and Spikiri have revealed that they had been scammed by fake event organizers pretending to book them.

According to Speedy, he had received a call from one scammer who later sent proof of payment ahead of the gig with a little extra money added. He explained that the scammer told him to send money to their travel agent to book their flights while the money sent to them gets cleared from their ledger balance.

In his Instagram post, he wrote, “Artists, be careful of the scam. Someone will call you claiming they are from Max lifestyle in Durban. They will ask you or your manager how much you charge, they send fake proof of payment with a little extra than what you charge. They will ask you to pay their travel agent so he could book flights while the money they claim to have paid you hasn’t cleared. Myself and Spikiri were victims of the scam a few days ago. And now other artists have been getting hit.”

A number of other celebs have also shared their experience confirming that they came close being victims of the scam.
