Famous Nigerian singer and rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie, better known by his stage name, Erigga has taken to social media to question the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria on what they have to say about the non-stop exploitation of national resources by politicians after the agency revealed that it would be handed a 15-year jail term to landlords who rent out their apartments to fraudsters.

This comes after, the EFCC said in a post on Instagram that it had enacted a new policy that criminalizes the renting of apartments to fraudsters, largely known in Nigeria as ‘yahoo boys’.

“Okay now! what a juicy topic E go sweet wella.

Landlords way yahoo-boy dey stay him house, my people na 15 years imprisonment for the landlord o! E don set!”

Reacting to the development, Erigga in a tweet asked what would be done to the very same people who after convincing the people to give them power, are now amassing wealth for themselves and their families at the expense of the people.

“Dem say 15 years imprisonment for the landlord when rent house to yahoo boy but what about country when yahoo men dey rule?”
