The television comedy series “Cheers” is where Emmy Award-winning actress Kirstie Alley is most known for portraying Rebecca Howe.

In Wichita, Kansas, Kirstie Alley was born on January 12, 1951. She made her feature film debut in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which marked a turning point in her career.

She then had a significant part in the TV miniseries North and South. But Alley’s ascent to fame didn’t start until she was chosen to take Shelly Long’s position in the well-known comedy Cheers in the late 1980s.
