Ruby Franke, an American family vlogger who formerly owned the now-defunct YouTube channel 8 Passengers, was born on January 18, 1982.

Franke started the 8 Passengers YouTube channel at the beginning of 2015, where she shared videos of her life in Utah with her spouse Kevin and their six kids. She used to publish around 6:00 AM, five days a week. The channel had around 2.5 million subscribers as of June 2020; it had one billion views.

Following their divorce in 2022, Kevin Franke left the property. Franke stopped posting on YouTube and started working as a mental health coach at ConneXions, a counseling organization owned by Jodi Nan Hildebrandt.

What Did Ruby Franke Do?

Following their arrests in Ivins, Utah, on August 30, 2023, Franke and Hildebrandt were charged with six counts of aggravated child abuse, a felony, on September 1, 2023.

The Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department released a statement stating that Franke’s 12-year-old son had crawled through a window of Hildebrandt’s house and requested for food and drink at an adjacent residence. The boy seemed thin and had “open wounds and duct tape around the extremities”.
