American television host Robin Roberts works in broadcasting and serves as the host of Good Morning America on ABC. Roberts was the first openly LGBT woman and person of color to host the American television quiz show Jeopardy!

Roberts stated on January 14, 2007, episode of Costas on the Radio that she was given a basketball scholarship to Louisiana State University but turned it down because she found the campus to be too big and impersonal.

Robin Roberts was a sports anchor for regional TV and radio stations after being born and raised in Mississippi and graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University.

For 15 years, Roberts worked as a sportscaster for ESPN (1990–2005), and in 2005, she was named a Good Morning America co-anchor. In 2012 Roberts’ was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.
