He is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Cat Stevens was born in the Marylebone area of London.

Cat Steven happens to be the youngest child of his parents. He was the son of a Cypriot father, Stavros Georgiou, and a Swedish mother, Ingrid Wickman.

In 1965, Cat Stevens commenced performing under the name “Steve Adams”.
